Heaven and Earth Roundabout
Looking towards Marina Way (A179) which leads to the town centre, with a railway bridge on the right. This sculpture by Eric Bainbridge consists of 30 cast iron spheres, on the roundabout and nearby, representing the planets and stars. Commissioned by Hartlepool Borough Council and Cleveland Arts, 1999 http://www.commissionsnorth.org/showcase/portfolio/20 .

Round objects on a roundabout
The "Heaven and Earth" sculpture consists of 15 steel spheres installed to enliven the roundabout at Marina Way/ Powlett Road/ Cleveland Road. The bridge carries the branch railway line to Hartlepool Docks.
