Looking towards Marina Way (A179) which leads to the town centre, with a railway bridge on the right. This sculpture by Eric Bainbridge consists of 30 cast iron spheres, on the roundabout and nearby, representing the planets and stars. Commissioned by Hartlepool Borough Council and Cleveland Arts, 1999 http://www.commissionsnorth.org/showcase/portfolio/20 . From a Geograph point of view, the roundabout sits on the junction of four grid squares - see also Image .
