Point Quay
These were once important wharves on Restronguet Creek servicing the mines inland and for some time the eastern terminus of the Redruth and Chasewater Railway.

Slipway at Point Quay
Ancient and modern slipway at Point. Point Quay was the terminus of the Redruth and Chasewater Railway (1824 to 1915) before an extension was built towards Penpol to reach the smelt mill.

Point Quay
This was the eastern limit of the Redruth and Chasewater Railway (1824 – 1915) It was named Chasewater and not Chacewater due to a spelling mistake by the person that drew up the original company documents. (Probably an ancestor of mine whose spelling abilities I have inherited.)

Low tide at Point
Plenty of mud here as the tide is out. A nice spot on a sunny day but today there is a strong wind and rain on the way.

Lime kiln, Point
Traditional lime kiln used to produce lime for agricultural purposes. This one is situated in the small picnic area below Point village green.
