Railway Terrace
The functional, stone-built terraced houses of the district are very pleasing. Although marked on a road sign, the name Railway Terrace does not appear on maps. The railway in question crossed the road to Scorrier at exactly this point, being the Redruth & Chacewater Railway of antiquity and fame. Both the terrace and the eponymous railway were extant at the time of the 1877-9 Ordnance Survey of the district.

Mills Hall, Carharrack
This is the home of the Carharrack and St Day Silver Band. One thing that links the mining districts of Cornwall and those of northern England is the tradition of local silver (brass) bands.

Albion Row, Fore Street
Another fine terrace of stone-built cottages, this time with commodious space which was presumably a kitchen garden originally. The old railway line runs on the opposite side of the row.
