Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of ILLOGAN (KERRIER District), Illogan Downs, North of Park Bottom, against bank on straight road, on East side of road. Erected by the Local Highways Board in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

Grade II listed.

Stone Stile SW6643a
Situated on a path leading from Spar Lane, Illogan to the back of a small estate of houses on the Illogan Downs road.
Coffen type stile of five granite slabs. Good condition.
Coffen stile – a stile built over a pit – like a granite cattle grid.
Coffen is a Cornish word for a man-made hole in the ground.
Public footpath 214/22/1 (gold).
