Filsham
Recent housing estate built on the site of Filsham Farm and now the most westerly suburb of Hastings and St Leonards. The land in between was once Filsham Golf Course which has now reverted to semi improved grassland.

Railway north of West St. Leonards
The footbridge leads from Fernside Avenue to the playing fields and other places east of Filsham Road. The building in the distance on the left of the picture is, I think, the former Hastings College in St. Saviour's Road, but I cannot be sure.

Start of the footpath which crosses the marshes and the Combe Haven river. A haven for wildlife.

Southern Entrance, Pedestrian Footbridge
Built because Harley Shute Road bridge is too narrow for pavements particularly for those trying to get to nearby schools. The bridge spans the Hastings to Tunbridge Wells railway.
