Merrythought Teddy Bear Shop
What a smart bear on guard outside the Merrythought Teddy Bear Shop & Museum at Coalbrookdale. Thankfully, at least one part of the Merrythought empire is still functioning.

No 35, The Wharfage, Ironbridge
For several years now the outlet for Merrythought Bears, 35 The Wharfage is a mid 19th century Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101208037-35-the-wharfage-the-gorge#.Wo0kIfnFKM8 former house on the main road between Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge. It was listed in 1983, and included for group value with several nearby properties of similar age.

Aspire, Relax, Explore, Discover ... For Sale
No doubt there are other motivational verbs within the blurb on the developer's boards around this construction site in Ironbridge, here seen being perused by my wife. But the important point is that there are Things For Sale. Shot on film using a Pentax K1000.

Merrythought (Ironbridge)
Entrance to the last remaining British teddy bear factory that still makes its teddy bears in their home country. This teddy bear company is called Merrythought, and it was founded here at Ironbridge in 1930. Gordon Holmes
and George H. Laxton were the founders of this company, and is still growing strong by today. The large teddy bear seen at the entrance to the Merrythought shop looks very nice, and we bought some Merrythought teddy bears in the shop.
