Woodland on an old pitmound
The area of Telford which developed in the 1960s/70s as Malinslee was, up until that time, a mass of old pit mounds and coal mines. Most were landscaped and built upon, but a few are recognisable still for what they were. Spout Mound is perhaps one of the best preserved, and forms part of the extensive town park area, including Chelsea Gardens Image

Pedestrian crossing on Southwater Way
The crossing provides access from the extensive Malinslee housing estate, to the retail facilities and other businesses of Telford Town Centre. An Asda superstore lies just off-shot to the right.
