The area of Telford which developed in the 1960s/70s as Malinslee was, up until that time, a mass of old pit mounds and coal mines. Most were landscaped and built upon, but a few are recognisable still for what they were. Spout Mound is perhaps one of the best preserved, and forms part of the extensive town park area, including Chelsea Gardens Image
