The clubhouse at Shifnal Golf Club
This Georgian Manor House became the clubhouse of the Shifnal Club in 1963, when the course was relocated here from its former site a mile or two south of the town at Brimstree Hill.

Service block at Decker Hill House
The Shifnal Golf Club has operated from the fine Decker Hill House for many years, occupying a Georgian country house which was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101176128-decker-hill-and-entrance-courtyard-to-east-shifnal#.XJ-22Zj7TIU and https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1176128 in 1955. Seen here was originally the 2-storey service (servants') block at the rear of the main building.

Dog-leg staircase in Decker Hill House
This rather fine staircase and its wrought-iron balustrading was originally in the main hall, and is now above the Golf Club's bar; it forms part of the building's Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101176128-decker-hill-and-entrance-courtyard-to-east-shifnal#.XJ_SrZj7TIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1176128, which was granted in 1955. Personally I am less taken by the '1-arm bandit' gaming machine on the right, but each to their own.

View down the 18th fairway
Last hole of 18 (well, apart from the traditional 19th in the clubhouse) at Shifnal Golf Club; this is a 446 yard, par-4 hole with a slight dog-leg around the trees to the left, beyond the 3 players in the middle distance.

Warning sign - flood, near Shifnal
Facing the B4379 north of Shifnal. A golf course perimeter hedge is on the right.
I hadn't noticed any nearby rivers or streams, so concluded that the hedges on both
sides of the road would be the most likely cause of flooding here, after a downpour.
