Lych Gate of Somerton cemetery
An open and airy gate to the cemetery in Behind Berry. The cemetery is a nineteenth century institution that lost a small corner of the grounds when the G.W.R. line was cut through in the early 1900s.

Beware using Brunel Close bridge!
A narrow road crosses the railway line and also provides for pedestrians. However, the sign on the wall warns that Railtrack has only dedicated this as a public footpath, despite the fact that it allows cars to enter the shopping centre car park here.

Railway, Somerton
The railway between Westbury and Taunton goes right through the middle of Somerton. Sadly there is no station now.

Somerton Cemetery
Somerton cemetery is located in the extreme north eastern corner of the grid square. It is just north of the B3153 and just west of the railway cutting containing the Taunton to Westbury line.

In the very north east corner of the square looking north along the tracks. The track runs in a cutting with Somerton cemetery immediately on the left hand side. The view is from the bridge where the B3153 crosses the line.
