Priorities

17 Jun 2023

With the hotter weather here, we're aware that more and more people are spending their time outside. With this comes a natural rise in anti-social behaviour from both children and adults.

We're aware of various hotspot locations and will be planning patrol routes around them, to engage with our local communities and hopefully deter any anti-social behaviour.

As a neighbourhood team, we encourage accurate reporting of incidents if you're a victim and kindly ask that if you have any CCTV, photos etc that document offences taking place, to please store them safely and not to upload them to social media, in order to avoid possible victim targeted escalation.

17 Jun 2023

With the nicer weather here, more and more people are getting out and about on the roads. With this, the Somerton Neighbourhood Policing team will continue to support their local Community Speed Watch groups, even through our busier Summer period of demand. This will be achieved by;

  • Conducting additional watches to support the great work that they currently do.
  • Supporting them directly and linking up with a watch.

We aim to keep 'business as normal' when supporting our Community Speed Watches.
