Vale of Rheidol Railway level crossing at Glanyrafon
The access road to the Glanyrafon business park crosses the railway here. Until the 1990's the crossing was unguarded and several rail/road collisions occurred. As can be seen, it now has barriers and lights. The inclined section of the road is in fact a bridge across the Rheidol.

Seen from the level crossing on The Vale of Rheidol Railway. I was in an open sided vehicle so that my shots are all reflection free even if some show foreground motion artefact or aren't entirely central.

Glanyrafon Level Crossing
The only level crossing on the Vale of Rheidol Railway with barriers as well as lights. The crossing is at the very west of the square.

This was constructed as a Manpower Service Commission project in 1987. It is set beside the Vale of Rheidol Railway.

Road approach to Glanyrafon Industrial Estate
The road continues beyond the estate as a popular if narrow lane to Moriah on the A4120, and also gives access to the narrow road heading east up the Rheidol valley south of the Afon Rheidol. The white van in the picture has just crossed the level crossing taking the Vale of Rheidol Railway over the road.
