School of Art
Formerly the Edward Davies Building, it was built to a design by Alfred W S Cross and opened in 1907 as the first purpose built Chemistry laboratories in a British University. It was dedicated to Edward Davies of the Davies family of Llandinam, former treasurer of the (then) University College, whose family had made a donation of £20,000 towards the building, in his memory.
The University School of Art moved into the building in December 1993.
Grade II* listed - see http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=10729.

The Edward Davies Chemical Laboratory, Aberystwyth
Of course it's now the Art Department of Aberystwyth University. The Art Department website (https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/art/about-us/edward-davies/history/chem-labs/ ) gives the building's history pretty fair coverage. Grade II listed building: see http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/wa-10729-edward-davies-memorial-chemical-laborator#.VZBpKvlVhBc. The upper floor with the oval windows contained the teaching labs, and when I was here 1967-1972, only the southern one was in use, for first and second year Organic Chemistry. Other functions had been moved into the modern southern wing, and Third Year Organic Chemistry was in a modern extension at the rear. The basement of the old building contained postgraduate organic research labs.

The word "Memorial" in the title is entirely foreign to me - it's EDCL. The Edward Davies Chemical Laboratory, Aberystwyth
Of course it's now the Art Department of Aberystwyth University. The upper floor with the oval windows contained the teaching labs, with offices on the ground floor and postgraduate research labs in the basement. The part to the left included an auditorium lecture theatre. Most of this was out of use by the 1970s, replaced by more modern extensions.
