Part of the facade of the School of Art. Formerly the Edward Davies Building, it was built to a design by Alfred W S Cross and opened in 1907 as the first purpose built Chemistry laboratories in a British University. It was dedicated to Edward Davies of the Davies family of Llandinam, former treasurer of the (then) University College, whose family had made a donation of £20,000 towards the building, in his memory. The University School of Art moved into the building in December 1993. Grade II* listed - see http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=10729.
