Kirkhamsfield Depot viewed from Barn Lane
The depot belongs to Powys County Council and is the base for various highways maintenance vehicles etc. It stands beside the River Severn and a cyclist is just visible near the bottom of the photo making use of the well-surfaced cycle route 81 which is shared at this point by the Severn Way.
Just discernible top left is a tiny area of blue sky - a rare sight in the last few months this heralded a few minutes of sunshine just after midday on Christmas Day 2015, before the next band of rain, seen approaching in http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4790157 arrived.

Looking across the river to the Council Highways Depot
With the old bicycle factory (now a business estate) and the hills beyond.
You can't see the river from here but it runs between the red brick terraces and the depot. I believe the construction of a long-promised footbridge has begun. Indicated by the stepped earth left of centre by the orange crane(?) in front of the depot, and the white curved object, centre right. The road just visible left of the crane runs up past the cemetery, and Pound Stretchers, coming out on Pool Road, opposite Morrisons supermarket.
