The depot belongs to Powys County Council and is the base for various highways maintenance vehicles etc. It stands beside the River Severn and a cyclist is just visible near the bottom of the photo making use of the well-surfaced cycle route 81 which is shared at this point by the Severn Way. Just discernible top left is a tiny area of blue sky - a rare sight in the last few months this heralded a few minutes of sunshine just after midday on Christmas Day 2015, before the next band of rain, seen approaching in http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4790157 arrived.
