Sign by the Halfpenny Bridge
A somewhat confusing sign at the eastern end of the Halfpenny footbridge http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/914133 . The bridge carries both the Severn Way and Cycle route 81 across the river but apparently cycles are not allowed.

Autumn colour
The change in colour on this maple seemed to be working its way inwards from the extremities. The variegated variety in the background had not yet started to turn.
