Brimmon Lane 2
Looking up the route of Brimmon Lane where it is still a country lane, towards Heol Treowen with its modern housing developments. It looks very rural here and belies its position on the edge of town.

Brimmon Lane 1
Now reduced to a footpath linking Heol Treowen with the lower town, this lane has its origin in an older route to farms on the hill to the south of the town (see Image). There is also access to adjacent houses by car, but not as a through route. The Royal Welsh Warehouse can be seen in the valley below.

Two lines into one line east of Newtown railway station
Viewed from platform 1. The two lines through and near Newtown station enable trains to pass each other on the mostly single-track Cambrian Line. The next station ahead is Welshpool on the route to Birmingham via Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton.
