No 81 Wyle Cop dates from around 1800, and attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101255136-81-wyle-cop-shrewsbury#.YbertL3P3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1255136 in 1995. The building to its left Image is considerably older.

Part of no 77 on the left, with 78 in mid frame. The two buildings together date from around 1730 when they were built as houses, and have had alterations over the years including the insertion of shopfronts in the 19th century. No 82 on Wyle Cop was built around the early 18th century as a house, with the shopfront being a later addition. It was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101255125-82-wyle-cop-shrewsbury#.YbetXL3P3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1255125 in 1953.

This is the top end of Wylde Cop the A5191 close to where it becomes the high St. in the distance on the left is Dogpole St.

The core of these three shops is a row of 16/17th century, timber framed houses, refronted in brick in the 18th, presumably extended upwards at that time, and with shopfronts added in the 20th century; some parts of the historic frames are visible at the rear. Good early C18th brick front (possibly 1734). Central arched carriageway. Grade II listed. Shops at the time were Wyle Cop Flowers, and Alfie and Billy's Cafe.
