79 Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury
No 79 (along with the adjoining Image) forms half of a pair of late 16th or early 17th century houses, which externally at least have been much altered over the years; it's likely that the interiors will retain some traces of their antiquity. Part of no 77 on the left, with 78 in mid frame. The two buildings together date from around 1730 when they were built as houses, and have had alterations over the years including the insertion of shopfronts in the 19th century. 6, 7 & 8 Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury
The core of these three shops is a row of 16/17th century, timber framed houses, refronted in brick in the 18th, presumably extended upwards at that time, and with shopfronts added in the 20th century; some parts of the historic frames are visible at the rear.
