A Pegged Joint
This is a detail of Image A grade II* listed building (https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246913?section=official-list-entry ). You don't get to be a 450 year old building by being neglected, and the pegs have been restored here quite recently. This is one of the ogee braces referred to in the listing, the lower left one.

The Prince Rupert hotel
Largely 17th century, albeit built in phases over the course of time, and the nearest bay here (now with extensive plastering over the woodwork) is thought to be one of the oldest parts. The timber framed construction resulted in it being granted a Grade II* listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101246913-prince-rupert-hotel-shrewsbury#.XENBu1z7TIU in 1953.

The Loggerheads, Shrewsbury
Taken out of sentiment, more than anything ... I used to drink in here fairly regularly back in the day and this was my first visit for 25 years or so. It hasn't changed much since those days!
