This is a detail of Image A grade II* listed building (https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246913?section=official-list-entry ). You don't get to be a 450 year old building by being neglected, and the pegs have been restored here quite recently. This is one of the ogee braces referred to in the listing, the lower left one.
