Roushill
Roushill in Shrewsbury. The new Nexus development is nearly complete. The pub has recently been renamed to the Salopian Bar, after being called for a brief period the Soho Bar (it was originally the Proud Salopian pub). On the skyline is the market hall clocktower and the St. Chad's church tower.

Listed buildings behind 53 Mardol
Tucked away to the rear of no 53 Mardol, and accessed via a narrow passageway, these assorted former dwellings and warehouses were collectively Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101270650-buildings-to-rear-of-53-mardol-shrewsbury#.YuVSVXbMLIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1270650 in 1972. Structurally, some parts date back to the 16th century, but most of what is externally visible is more like 19th century.

60 Mardol, Shrewsbury
Stokes Domestic Appliances occupies a Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101254617-60-mardol-shrewsbury#.WsR3N_nwaM8 late 17th or early 18th century dwelling house, most likely converted to a shop in the 18th. The pitch of the roof suggests that there's a timber framed building lurking beneath it all.

Salopian Bar
View of the town centre from the new footbridge at Frankwell. The clock tower appeared about 1968, was much loathed at the time and is clearly visible from the Long Mynd.

50 & 50a Mardol, Shrewsbury
The right-hand half of a pair of Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101254612-49-50-and-50a-mardol-shrewsbury#.WsRzEvnwaM9 buildings on the east side of Mardol (No 49 is off-shot to the left). The listing for this pair was given in 1953, on account of their being well-preserved 18th century shops, brick-built in the vernacular style of the town.

20, 20A & 21 Mardol, Shrewsbury
Originally built in the early 18th century (the datestone above the central passageway says 1706) as two houses, possibly with commercial premises below. The current shopfronts are a 20th century replacement for the originals. The whole building was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101254608-20-20a-and-21-mardol-shrewsbury#.YuVqh3bMLIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1254608 in 1953.
