Disused Railway Tracks
Part of the old branch line from Llynclys to the quarries at Porth-y-waen. Later extended westwards as the Tanat Light Railway along the river valley to Llangynog. Cambrian Heritage Railway are restoring the line from Llynclys to Oswestry but will this section ever be operational again? See http://www.cambrianrailways.com/html/history.html for more information.

Readymix concrete plant in Llynclys Quarry
The signage says 'Breedon', but this was taken on the day that ownership of the plant transferred back to Tarmac. It had been divested from the Tarmac business in early 2013, as an asset of the Hope Construction Materials company, which was then acquired by Breedon Aggregates 3 years later. The quarry buildings to the right (basically the weighbridge offices) have remained under Tarmac's management throughout this period, but many years previously they had been part of the Lafarge UK business, and I believe Steetley prior to that.
