Disused Railway Tracks
Part of the old branch line from Llynclys to the quarries at Porth-y-waen. Later extended westwards as the Tanat Light Railway along the river valley to Llangynog. Cambrian Heritage Railway are restoring the line from Llynclys to Oswestry but will this section ever be operational again? See http://www.cambrianrailways.com/html/history.html for more information.

Mixed grazing on Llynclys Common
Llynclys Common is an area of common ground on limestone which is part of a nature reserve run by the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. http://www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/index.html Livestock are grazed in the summer to help control the bracken and suppress any further tree growth. Fencing is used to control livestock and spring loaded gates are installed to avoid straying. http://www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/wp_12_llynclys.html
