Some work to do here
The dry bed of the Montgomery Canal at Crickheath. The intention is to restore the entire canal route to Newtown with a target date for completion of 2029, subject to funding materializing; looking at this section, untouched since the canal was closed in 1936, there's a lot of work to do before reopening becomes a reality.

Bridge 85 at Crickheath Wharf
The wharf - on the other side of this bridge - has recently been restored. It's not yet open to navigation, and is in fact separated from the rest of the restoration scheme by a short length of dry canal bed. The bridge itself hasn't changed much since John Haynes took Image] seventeen years previously, but a lot of work has been carried out to return the once - derelict canal to water here.
