379-387 Clapham Road
Two pairs of early C19th houses, with various accretions dotted about. The further pair, nos. 379 and 381 is slightly grander with an extra storey and windows set in blind arches. Built c1805. Grade II listed. Part of a group of houses on the east side of Clapham Road running north from Landor Road built on land which came into the ownership of the Duke of Bedford in the early C18th. The Survey of London records that building began after he signed an agreement with Archer Willson, a builder of Fulham, in 1791.

391-393 Clapham Road
A terrace of four tall houses, now converted to two blocks of flats - see the pair of florid entrances which are much later. Arched ground floor windows and first floor windows set in blind arches. Unfortunately all the Georgian sashes have gone. Built c1825 by a local builder, William Novell. Grade II listed. Part of a group of houses on the east side of Clapham Road running north from Landor Road built on land which came into the ownership of the Duke of Bedford in the early C18th. The Survey of London records that building began after he signed an agreement with Archer Willson, a builder of Fulham, in 1791.

Clapham: The 'Clapham North' public house
One does not often find a public house named after a station: usually it is the other way round. I regret to say that I entered this house to find that the only real ale was 'off', so I made my apologies and left.

373-377 Clapham Road
Two pairs of early C19th houses with some latter additions. Built c1802. Grade II listed. Part of a group of houses on the east side of Clapham Road running north from Landor Road built on land which came into the ownership of the Duke of Bedford in the early C18th. The Survey of London records that building began after he signed an agreement with Archer Willson, a builder of Fulham, in 1791. These now serve as the head offices of the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union (BECTU), UK's media and entertainment trade union.
