Houses in Wetherby Gardens
This row, a terrace of 9, was built in the early 1880s by William Willett "to plans provided by H. B. Measures, a supervising architect", filling in a gap left by John Spicer. As a result, the end terrace on the right is number 19a, no 20 having already been built in the 1870s. http://www.barrettssolicitors.co.uk/South%20Kensington/streets/wetherby_gardens.htm

Hereford Square
Hereford Square is "one of the prettiest squares in South Kensington" http://www.barrettssolicitors.co.uk/South%20Kensington/streets/hereford_square.htm , which has a detailed history of the building of the houses. "The north west and south terraces are all painted white. The houses are mainly four-storeys (plus basement) with a first floor balustrade balcony. Hereford Square was built on land belonging to the Day Estate. The square was laid out on land which had previously been a paddock adjoining Gloucester Road." This terrace is on the northwest side and is listed - see http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=203840&mode=adv , which mistakenly describes it as being on the east side. Particularly attractive are the pierced balconies.
