Crosby Hall
Mediaeval Merchant's hall, built of brick, which was taken down in the City and rebuilt on the Thames, facing Battersea Bridge.
Crosby Hall was originally on the site of The Chartered Bank building in 38 Bishopsgate, which was replaced in 1986 with a new headquarters building for Standard Chartered Bank. That building has now been demolished and one of the tallest buildings in London is being constructed on the site.

Merchants' Hall, originally in the City, rebuilt in Chelsea after WW2. It is built in brick and has notable Tudor chimneys and ornate oriel window.

'Awakening' sculpture in Roper's Garden
By sculptor Gilbert Ledward (1888-1960). Roper's Garden was constructed on the site of buildings destroyed by a parachute mine on 17 April 1941. The site formed part of the marriage gift of Thomas More to William & Margaret Roper in 1521.
