Completed 1939, according to the date over the door, and thus just in time for the builders to spend six years wondering if it had all been in vain. In very much the standard GPO style of the period.

St John the Baptist, Wimbledon: west end
St John's church (Anglican) is on Spencer Hill. It was built in 1875 to the designs of T G Jackson and is grade 2 listed.
This view shows the several buttresses to the south-west (liturgical west) end. Strangely they are all slightly different; as this is Jackson's first church it has been suggested that he was experimenting with different forms.
