St John's church (Anglican) is on Spencer Hill. It was built in 1875 to the designs of T G Jackson and is grade 2 listed. This view shows the several buttresses to the south-west (liturgical west) end. Strangely they are all slightly different; as this is Jackson's first church it has been suggested that he was experimenting with different forms.
