The Armoury pub
A Geograph from three years earlier Image shows this pub to have been previously called the Crane. Its new name reflets the road it is on (Armoury Way). Although still bearing the Youngs name, there was also a Sambrook sticker on the front (a newer brewery in Battersea)

A Wandsworth pub re-branded: 'The Crane' has become 'The Armoury'
This pub in Armoury Way stands right on the bank of the River Wandle, in an area where there were once wharves. My guess is that the name, 'The Crane', lasted for well over a century, a fitting reminder of the history of the place. But much has changed around here in recent years - not least, the Young family has sold its brand name and the Ram Brewery site is to be redeveloped. For the pub as it was, see: Image
