Besley Street
This is the back of a terrace of houses that backs onto the railway line. The terrace which appears to be quite newly built is at the southern end of the street. Older victorian terraced houses can be seen on the right.

St James Church, West Streatham
Unlike the arts-and-crafts Baptist church across the road Image, of similar size and age, this building in late neo-gothic style is not listed. But the polychromatic brickwork is quite striking and there are interesting architectural details in the stonework.

Mitcham Lane Baptist Church
Unlike the Anglican church across the road Image, of similar size and age, this building is listed grade 2 (list entry number 1065546). Built 1902, architects G & R P Baines, the arts-and-crafts style is typical of many churches of its time. The church is also the base of a CAP Debt Advice Centre, a commentary on our times.
