5 North Drive
Quite a good neo-Georgian house, of yellow stock brick with projecting bays at the ends, quoins, hipped roof and doorcase with segmental pediment. After institutional use it has recently been converted into flats. One of a number of large houses near Tooting Bec Common dating from the late C19th/early C20th, this one being the latter. A visitor to the site and former employee of Wandsworth Council's social services department tells me that previously it was used as a children's home.
