Pedestrian subway, Sunderland
This subway enables pedestrians and cyclists to pass beneath St. Michael's Way, a busy dual-carriageway in the centre of Sunderland. The University of Sunderland's Priestman Building is across the road.

Litter everywhere
It seems everyone chucks their litter over the fence or wall onto the railways in these parts, or just drop it in the street, in gardens or beside the path, and it's accepted and left. It's almost everywhere you look.
The over riding impression from walking the Weardale Way and nearby streets from the South Hylton Metro terminus towards the University.
