Sunderland has extensive, well-established residential communities and business districts, including the Nissan complex. We have police bases in Washington, Southwick, the city centre, Farringdon and Houghton-le-Spring. The Area Command is also home to our Mounted Unit.

Partnership work is ongoing with key premises to assist in crime prevention. Prolific offenders are being identified and arrested with civil orders being used to deter and prevent offending. |

The team are using diversionary activities as well as seeking appropriate disruption orders and conditional bail to prevent offending and disrupt behaviour.
