Public art in Sunderland
The circular sculpture in this image is "Propellers of the City", which celebrates Sunderland's history as a major shipbuilding city and the people who worked in the industry. "Propellers of the City"
This sculpture in Keel Square commemorating the ship building industry was unveiled in 2015. The sculpture incorporates a glass sheet bearing images of many people involved in the industry. The glass has recently been damaged, hence the security fencing erected round it. See also Image and Image
