The circular sculpture in this image is "Propellers of the City", which celebrates Sunderland's history as a major shipbuilding city and the people who worked in the industry. More information about Propellers of the City is here: http://www.art.mmu.ac.uk/profile/lgannon/projectdetails/778 To the right of Propellers of the City is a temporary addition to the public art, one of the Great North Snowdogs.
