Shaftesbury: postbox № SP7 127, Pound Lane
A complicated area of mapping wrongly shunts the junction of Fairlane, just behind us, in the next square east according to the map. The large, Elizabeth II-reign postbox is emptied finally at 5:45pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays. Beyond is a dog-waste bin, while this side is a drop box, where the postman can securely store part of his morning round and perhaps, therefore, be dropped here by van with his bike and letters to save him frequent returns to the sorting office.

Shaftesbury: bus parking signpost (left-facing symbol)
The traffic sign regulations dictate that a bus symbol facing left should have a door depicted in the expected position. If the bus were facing right, the door would be replaced by a window, reflecting the appearance of the other side of a bus in a country where we drive on the left. See also Image

Shaftesbury: bus parking signpost (right-facing symbol)
While the symbol for a left-facing bus will have a door depicted at the front end, signage regulations dictate that, where the bus faces right, a window be substituted for the door – in keeping with how you would expect the side of the bus to look in a country that drives on the left.
