The building on the left was a granary, that on the right has had a number of roles, starting out at the workhouse and later a bacon factory. Both are now flats.

Newcourt Carrier looking north
This watercourse was cleared out after the serious flooding in Downton in December 2000. It is man made, and was originally constructed in about 1670.

Fire, The Borough, Downton
On Saturday 24th July fire devastated this cottage on the Borough. Twelve emergency vehicles attended the scene and fortunately no one was injured.
