South Stoneham House, Southampton
Built 1708, notable for its likely author, Nicholas Hawksmoor. That one wouldn't know from looking at it can probably be explained by unsympathetic early C20th alterations "that make uncertain exactly how much of Hawksmoor's work survives." Grade II* listed. It is now part of the University of Southampton, until recently a hall of residence. The date of the photo is uncertain.
