17th century town house with some 18th century alterations. The distinctive feature is the Dutch gable. Listed Grade II*. The 18th century front of the building to the right conceals a 16th century timber framed house, Listed Grade II.

Spot the modern house - Bugle Street
The buildings in this view date from a variety of centuries between the 14th and the 20th, in a variety of styles, and mostly with Listed status. The one 20th century example shows that you do not have to slavishly follow traditional designs to fit into the townscape.

41 to 47 Bugle Street
Three of the four houses in this view are Grade II listed buildings: No 43, with the protruding bay window; Normandy House, No 45, which dates from the 16th century and was altered in the 18th century; and No 47, an 18th century red brick house. They make an appealing group in the heart of the old part of the city.

A Roman Catholic church on Bugle Street. The chancel is the older part, by Pugin, 1843; the later nave is by F G Poole. Listed grade 2 (list entry 1092064).
