Welcome to Aldbourne
Entering the village from the south-east. I first noticed that the village promoted its website with a sign on the road years ago, and I haven't noticed any other community copying the idea in all my driving around the UK.

A wooden church was established her in 966. By the 12th C there was a stone church which was destroyed by fire, the current church was built around 1220.
