Crookwood Mill Farm
Seen, in the valley bottom, from the bridleway on the top of the scarp slope. The background of the image is a good example of how wooded this part of Wiltshire is.

The way to the mill
The footpath passes down the drive of Crookwood Water Mill and crosses the stream behind the outbuilding glimpsed to the right of the image.

Crookwood Mill Farm [1]
The farmhouse is described as newly built in some deeds dated 1677. Timber-framed and partly rebuilt in brick in the late 18th century, the house is listed, grade II, with details at: https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1182878 Seen from the footpath.

Path and bridleway
The footpath continues in front of the wooden fence and leads to Sleight Farm. On the far side of the kissing gate a bridleway leads to Stert. The fence is the parish boundary and it is not unusual for rights of way to change thereat.
