Ice on Great Woodcote Park, 1966
A wintry scene at the corner of Great Woodcote Park and Foresters Drive, although I'm fairly sure this was Easter. Until only a few years before, the western part of Great Woodcote Park was untarmacked. The corner is shown in Image; I think the nearest tree here has long gone.

Fire engines on Foresters Drive, 1968
Great excitement as a grass fire sweeping across the former Croydon aerodrome brings two fire engines (the other one is further down the road) and lots of firemen. Hoses had to be fed through the railings; those on the other side had gained access through locally-known gaps. See also Image
On the left in the background is a (probable) air-raid shelter near the cul-de-sac of Plough Lane. The trees along the grass verge have now grown to block much of the view across the aerodrome.

Taken from a newly-built house, with a rockery and steps up to a birdbath. The trees across the field at the back are on Great Woodcote Park. The field was built on after the war.
