Carshalton: A small marshy pond
Just south of the culvert or bridge over the Wandle, a footpath runs eastward from London Road linking back to Croydon Road. Those using this path will encounter this small marshy pond, which looks as if it would provide an ideal habitat for frogs; toads, however, would not breed here as the water is only shallow.
