Ascot Station

Platform 1, Ascot Railway Station
Both platforms here were designated platform 1 and it was possible to board or alight either side of the train. This has now been changed and it is only possible to use the left hand platform.

Ascot railway station, Berkshire, 2011
Opened in 1856 by the Staines, Wokingham and Woking Junction Railway on the line from Staines to Wokingham. The station was called "Ascot & Sunninghill" between 1857 and 1921.
View east towards Sunningdale and Staines, 6 years before the footbridge was replaced and new fencing appeared on this platform. See Image for a 2019 view.
