Goal Net and Pavilion
The footpath through here has just crossed an abandoned golf course past a disused driving range and derelict tennis courts. But for a change this football ground still looks to be in use.

Abandoned Tennis Courts
Still marked as Sports Ground on the map, this is a continuation of the derelict sporting facilities which have been beside the footpath for nearly a kilometre.

Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens
Sir Noel Mobbs, Lord of the Manor of Stoke Poges, acquired the twenty acres of land to the south of the church in order to preserve the tranquil and rural setting of St Giles’ church, made famous by Thomas Gray’s poem ‘Elegy in a Country Churchyard’. He wanted to create a ‘living memorial to the dead' which would bring 'solace to the bereaved’. The Memorial Gardens were opened on 25 May 1935. They were designed by Edward White and include burial plots in 500 individual gated gardens.

The Lanes Golf Course (disused)
This is quite unusual. I don't recall walking through a derelict golf course before. I thought there was an endless demand for them. The Lanes course has obviously not been used for some time and is going back to rough grassland.
