Railway in Dowlow quarry
Originally the Cromford and High Peak Railway, the line is now used to transport material extracted from the nearby Dowlow and Hindlow quarries. South of here the trackbed of the railway now forms the High Peak Trail Image

Quarry Works Entrance
Dowlow works Entrance pictured from the A515 Road. This operation has been owned by Omya UK Ltd since 2003, and specialise in supplying white minerals and chemicals. It's a multi-national company with a head office in Switzerland.
