Corner of Bridge Street and Great Underbank
The grade II listed building https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1162370 on the corner was Boots the Chemists until the 1970s. In more recent years it has been Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe Image which became the Eat Me Sweet Shop Image but is now Mrs Benson's Sweet Shop.
Bridge Street was once the main north-south route through the centre of Stockport leading here to the Market Place.

Lamp on Bridge Street
Once part of the main north-south route through Stockport, the top end of Bridge Street is pedestrianised. The lamp seen here is a modern replica of an old gas lamp. Behind it can be seen the ghost signage of the Bridge Street Wine Bar which probably dates to the turn of the century (21st).

Corner of Bridge Street and Great Underbank
The grade II listed building https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1162370 on the corner was Boots the Chemists until the 1970s. In more recent years (2013) it has been Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe Image which in 2015 became the Eat Me Sweet Shop Image and then in 2018 Mrs Benson's Sweet Shop Image Now it is called Mrs Griffin's Traditional Sweet Shop.
Bridge Street was once the main north-south route through the centre of Stockport leading here to the Market Place.

You will be served outside via glass door". To the right is a fire hydrant sign dated 21-03-66.
